A New Partridge
November 10, 2007, Meredith Black became Meredith Partridge in a ceremony held at the Timpanogos Temple in American Fork, Utah. Pretty lady, isn't she?
This was one of those truly great weekends. Cathy and I drove to Utah on Thursday and took Marga Sanders with us. Marga is a good friend and a talented floral arranger. She and Cathy arranged for the flowers (the bouquet in the picture id their creation).
I was the chief gofer.
Jake seemed as happy as I've ever seen him. And why not? Meredith seems to truly love him and that is the most important trait for a wife. I know he loves her too.
Kevin, Kim and their kids, Dillon, Chloe and Olivia were there. Adam and Myisha flew in on Saturday morning and out on Sunday. My brother, Bob and his wife, Kathy, flew up from Phoenix, and all the Utah family members were there in abundance. We stayed with my nephew (more like a brother), Craig Merrill and his wife, Andrea.
My sister, Beth, is impossible to say enough good things about. She took in a couple of Jake's friends who showed up without a place to stay and then took in Jake too when he realized he hadn't figured out exactly where to stay before he got married (afterward was no problem).
On Saturday afternoon, Beth fed about twenty or more of us a wonderful lunch.
My mom was also there. At ninety, she was a little slow but she was at the temple and at the reception.
Cathy and I had no daughters. We just waited until three of the loveliest women in the world married our sons and now we have three wonderful daughters-in-law.
Everything was wonderful and a grand time was had by all.
