Working in the Back Yard
I truly have intended to blog more frequently but laziness has held me back. Jake came to visit for Mothers' Day and took these pictures and many more. So since he did a big portion of the work (taking the pictures), I thought I'd do a little blog with some of them.
Since the first hints of Spring, we have been spending the days where weather permitted and Mission Labors permitted working in the gardens. Although it is a lot of work, it is very satisfying and enjoyable. Above is me in the back yard. Our property ends about twenty feet in back of the planted area on my right. Just over my right shoulder you can see a tree stump which is about two feet outside of our yard. The lawn beyond belongs to the Condiminium projects that are visible in the back ground. The distance is farther than it looks - about 100 yards.
Anyone who loves gardening can see why we love our back yard. There are red birds, yellow birds, orange breasted birds, and many others. they sing beautifully evry morning and that's usually the only sound heard in our yard. We love it. And a cheerful thanks to Jake for the pix!

What a beautiful yard. Looks like you have been busy. In Springerville we can't plant until May 31st, but I've started some plants inside. It's been fun to watch them grow.
