2023 Seprember 2, Journal Entry
We had Jake and his son, Alexander, over for breakfast and enjoyed a nice visit with them.
We decided to drive by the Lindon Temple construction site and couldn't help notice the progress being made there. There are a lot of building supplies stacked up in the yard there that appear to be for interior construction. It's hard to imagine that this lovely building won't be finished very soon.
Brings to mind the fact that when all of the temples currently being built or already existing in Utah County are up and running, that will bring the total number to seven. I can't help hoping that the millennium is near and that these temples will be operating at near full capacity.
The Mt. Timpanogos Temple is often running well beliw capacity, at least on Wednesday mornings when I'm there. A lot of the Endowment sessions have fewer than thirty people in rooms that can hold nearly a hundred. Initiatories are well-attended though.
Come Follow Me
"Charity, the pure love of Christ, is not an act, but a condition or state of being. Charity is attained through a succession Acts that result in a conversion. Charity is something one becomes." President Dallin H. Oaks
"True charity is shown perfectly and purely in Christ's unfailing, ultimate and atoning love for us. It is that charity, his pure love for us, without which we would be nothing, hopeless, of all men and women most miserable . Life has its shares of fears and failures. Sometimes things fall short. Sometimes people fail us or economies or businesses or governments fail us. But one thing in time or eternity does not fail us: the pure love of Christ." Jeffrey R. Holland
1 Corinthians 13:13 And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.
