Journal Entry:

I served in the temple again yesterday and Cathy had a nice lunch with her friend, Victoria, who lives up near Hill Airforce Base. They met at the Trellis Cafe at Thanksgiving Point. While waiting for her to pick me up - we only have one car - I waited for her outside the temple in a lovely garden area. Even though it was reported to be 93 degrees, it seemed very comfortable to me. Plus I can follow her location on my iPhone and could see her making progress toward me. She was a little late but I had anticipated that because of her lunch date and I didn't mind at all.

Come Follow Me

"Unless we read the Book of Mormon and give heed to its teachings, the Lord has stated in section 84 of the Doctrine and Covenants that the whole Church is under condemnation: “And this condemnation resteth upon the children of Zion, even all” (D&C 84:56). The Lord continues: “And they shall remain under this condemnation until they repent and remember the new covenant, even the Book of Mormon and the former commandments which I have given them, not only to say, but to do according to that which I have written” (D&C 84:57). . . . The Book of Mormon has not been, nor is it yet, the center of our personal study, family teaching, preaching, and missionary work. Of this we must repent."

- Ezra Taft Benson, “Cleansing the Inner Vessel,” General Conference April 1986

"If you are not reading the Book of Mormon each day, please do so. If you will read it prayerfully and with a sincere desire to know the truth, the Holy Ghost will manifest its truth to you. If it is true—and I solemnly testify that it is—then Joseph Smith was a prophet who saw God the Father and His Son, Jesus Christ. Because the Book of Mormon is true, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is the Lord’s Church on the earth, and the holy priesthood of God has been restored for the benefit and blessing of His children. If you do not have a firm testimony of these things, do that which is necessary to obtain one. It is essential for you to have your own testimony in these difficult times, for the testimonies of others will carry you only so far."

Thomas S. Monson, “The Power of the Book of Mormon,” General Conference April 2017.

I can definitely do better in my reading and studying The Book of Mormon. And I will.
