 Thursday was quiet. Helped Cathy with her efforts in getting ready for Amy's wedding shower tomorrow. Scheduled for temple Initiatories and an endowment session today.

There was a lot to read yesterday about backgrounds of the 11 witnesses to the Book of Mormon. Basically there were varying levels of activity in the church but all 11 maintained their accounts of witnessing the Book of Mormon throughout their lives.

As I wrote earlier, this first part of the Book of Mormon study seems to be mostly about trying to prove that it is truly what it purports to be, an important and holy scripture. I, of course, have no problem with that claim.

"There is a power in this book that can touch the hearts and lift the lives of honest seekers of truth. Invite your friend to read the book prayerfully.

"The Prophet Joseph Smith said “that the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book.” The Book of Mormon teaches of the Atonement of Jesus Christ and is the instrument by which God will fulfill His ancient promise to gather scattered Israel in these latter days."
