Journal Entry

I crashed my Toyota Prius yesterday. Pulling into a slant parking spot in front of Guru's on Center Street in Provo, I had a senior moment. Stepped on the accelerator instead of the brake and nearly ran into a building after driving up on the sidewalk. The car is towed and will need some body work. Fortunately Jake was there and helped. We have a rental car now for a few days.

Earlier I served in the Bishops Storehouse for my Saturday morning shift. Cathy's foot is still too sore because of her severely stubbed toe so she stayed home.

After the Storehouse we drove to Springville to watch Fredrick play T-ball. Then we decided to treat everyone to lunch. That's why we all wound up at Guru's together.

Cathy suggested gently - and I think she's correct - that I should reduce my scheduled activities some. After all, I'm going to be 78 years old on my next birthday and I'm beginning to feel the affects of getting older..

Come Follow Me

Mosiah 5:15 Therefore, I would that ye should be steadfast and immovable, always abounding in good works, that Christ, the Lord God Omnipotent, may seal you his, that you may be brought to heaven, that ye may have everlasting salvation and eternal life, through the wisdom, and power, and justice, and mercy of him who created all things, in heaven and in earth, who is God above all. Amen.

"How can we determine what will be the normal things in our life and in our family? In the scriptures we find a great model; in Mosiah 5:15 it says, “I would that ye should be steadfast and immovable, always abounding in good works.”

I love these words because we know that the things that become normal in our lives are those that we repeat again and again. If we are steadfast and immovable in doing good, our customs will be in accordance with the principles of the gospel and they will help us to stay on the covenant path."
