Journal Entry
We got the back rolling on getting out car repaired. Now we'll see how long it takes.
We had a good afternoon at the Bishops Storehouse. It was moderately busy and we helped quite a few people.
Then we came home and covered our garden with protective sheets because of the anticipated freezing weather. Hopefully the plants will survive.
Today we are planning to go to the Saratoga Springs temple for Initiatories. I really miss our temple - closed for maintenance for one month. There was a time in my life when our temple choices would have been Salt Lake to the north and Manti to the south. Now we have Orem, Provo City Center and Payson along with Saratoga Springs. Each of those are less than a one hour drive from our home. Plus our Mt. Timpanogos temple which will reopen in a couple of weeks, then the new Provo Rock Canyon, Lindon and Newly announced Lehi temple. So no complaints.
Come Follow Me
Mosiah 7: 29 For behold, the Lord hath said: I will not succor my people in the day of their transgression; but I will hedge up their ways that they prosper not; and their doings shall be as a stumbling block before them.
30 And again, he saith: If my people shall sow filthiness they shall reap the chaff thereof in the whirlwind; and the effect thereof is poison.
"We have the Lord’s assurance that he will bless and prosper his people if they will keep his commandments and remember to look to him as the source of their blessings.
On the other hand, we must not forget that these blessings are conditional…[as] King Limhi warned his people…"
Elder Dean L. Larsen Of the Presidency of the Seventy, October 1992
