Journal Entry:
Since getting our car back from the body shop, we have been seeing this message on our dashboard: "Grill Shutter Inoperative. Visit Your Dealer." I guess we'll have to take it back to the body shop and hope for the best.
Going to see Dr. Gordon this morning. I've got to get whatever it's causing the pain in my back, hip and left leg fixed. I almost can't function because of the pain. Hopefully the spinal MRI I had on Monday will provide a solution.
I didn't go to the Bishops Storehouse yesterday because of the pain.
Were scheduled for an Endowment session at the Saratoga Springs temple this afternoon but I'm not sure I can do it. I hardly slept at all last night and that doesn't bode well for sitting through a temple session. Might have to cancel.
Come Follow Me
Mosiah 18:27 And again Alma commanded that the people of the church should impart of their substance, every one according to that which he had; if he have more abundantly he should impart more abundantly; and of him that had but little, but little should be required; and to him that had not should be given.
28 And thus they should impart of their substance of their own free will and good desires towards God, and to those priests that stood in need, yea, and to every needy, naked soul.
"This very hour there are many members of the Church who are suffering. They are hungry, stretched financially, and struggling with all manner of...distress. They pray with all the energy of their souls for succor, for relief.
...[P]lease do not think that this is someone else’s responsibility. It is mine, and it is yours. We are all enlisted. “All” means all...In the Lord’s plan, there is something everyone can contribute.
...[R]ich and poor are all under the same sacred obligation to help their neighbor. It will take all of us working together to successfully apply the principles of welfare and self-reliance."
President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, Second Counselor in the First Presidency, October 2011
