Book of Mormon review (review of earlier Come Follow Me lessons): Alma 32

Journal Entry

Cathy and I took Jake and Meredith with us to the Woodland Biscuit Cafe for breakfast yesterday morning. It was just another fun excursion. The ride was decent and the location was scenic and it was  a fun drive. Jake then patched up the holes in Cathy's bathroom wall where we hope to eventually install her shelves. One more day waiting to be "healed". I see Dr Kimball this Wednesday or maybe just get my stitches removed. Either way, I'm thinking I will begin carefully serving at the Bishops Storehouse and in the temple. Sort of a return to normal life.

Come Follow Me

Alma 42: 15 And now, the plan of mercy could not be brought about except an atonement should be made; therefore God himself atoneth for the sins of the world, to bring about the plan of mercy, to appease the demands of justice, that God might be a perfect, just God, and a merciful God also.

"Because we have all “sinned, and come short of the glory of God” and because “there cannot any unclean thing enter into the kingdom of God,” every one of us is unworthy to return to God’s presence.

Even if we were to serve God with our whole souls, it is not enough, for we would still be “unprofitable servants.” …

But all is not lost. The grace of God is our great and everlasting hope. Through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, the plan of mercy appeases the demands of justice “and [brings] about means unto men that they may have faith unto repentance.” Our sins, though they may be as scarlet, can become white as snow. Because our beloved Savior “gave himself a ransom for all,” an entrance into His everlasting kingdom is provided unto us. The gate is unlocked!"

Alma 41:14 Therefore, my son, see that you are merciful unto your brethren; deal justly, judge righteously, and do good continually; and if ye do all these things then shall ye receive your reward; yea, ye shall have mercy restored unto you again; ye shall have justice restored unto you again; ye shall have a righteous judgment restored unto you again; and ye shall have good rewarded unto you again. 15 For that which ye do send out shall return unto you again, and be restored
