Journal Entry

I wanted to get a good night's sleep last night but our wifi got screwed up. At first Alexa wouldn't do what it was asked to do. I found out by talking to Jake on the phone that our Google web device wasn't working and I finally found out that it was unplugged at the power strip in the office. Once I plugged it back in, everything started working right. Except our Ecobee thermostat. After being asleep for less than two hours, I woke up because it seemed cold in the house. So I checked and the heater was off and the temperature was down. After waking up and tinkering with it I finally got the thermostat to work and was able to go back to sleep... Again. Anyway I didn't get much sleep.

Going to the Bishops Storehouse this afternoon.

Come Follow Me

Joseph Smith History 1:5 Some time in the second year after our removal to Manchester, there was in the place where we lived an unusual excitement on the subject of religion. It commenced with the Methodists, but soon became general among all the sects in that region of country. Indeed, the whole district of country seemed affected by it, and great multitudes united themselves to the different religious parties, which created no small stir and division amongst the people, some crying, “Lo, here!” and others, “Lo, there!” Some were contending for the Methodist faith, some for the Presbyterian, and some for the Baptist.

"Life is full of many intersecting roads and trails. There are so many paths to follow, so many voices calling out “lo, here” or “lo, there.” There is such a variety and volume of media flooding our personal space, most of it intent on herding us down a path that is broad and traveled by many."

Elder Lowell M. Snow Of the Seventy, October '05
