Journal Entry: 

Got the Prius serviced for its 125,000 mile service. 

We are getting our estate planning done finally. Cathy has located a well-respect person who we will use to get our wills and trusts finalized. I found that the LA Fire and Police retirement organization, to which I belong, has a $600 benefit available for estate planning. Ours is pretty simple so should be well within that amount.

We took our tax documents to our tax specialists so that's in progress.

D&C 25:10 And verily I say unto thee that thou shalt lay aside the things of this world, and seek for the things of a better.

This leads me back to my aerodynamic analogy from the beginning. I spoke of focusing on the basics. Christlike attributes are the basics. They are the fundamental principles that will create “the wind beneath our wings.” As we develop Christlike attributes in our own lives, step-by-step, they will “bear [us] up as on eagles’ wings.” Our faith in Jesus Christ will provide power and a strong forward thrust; our unwavering and active hope will provide a powerful upward lift. Both faith and hope will carry us across oceans of temptations, over mountains of afflictions, and bring us safely back to our eternal home and destination."
