Journal Entry

I got a full-blown cast on my right foot and ankle. There's a boot that goes with it if I need to go outside. So i guess I'm pretty disabled for at least the next four weeks. The doctor did a little more digging, scraping and "cleaning" of my wound before having the cast put on and that was somewhat painful since he didn't use in pain killer. Plus now when I walk in just my cast I can feel the pain if I put pressure on the front of my foot. So the journey continues to hopeful complete healing.

Karen and Darrell Hanson came to visit yesterday evening and brought food from Panera Bread and that was very nice. I like the food and Cathy didn't have to prepare any dinner.

Today I have nothing planned so I'm hoping to catch up on some Come Follow Me  material as well as Book of Mormon reading.

Come Follow Me

D&C 88:15 And the spirit and the body are the soul of man.

"Take responsibility for your own physical well-being. Your soul consists of your body and spirit. Feeding the spirit while neglecting the body, which is a temple, usually leads to spiritual dissonance and lowered self-esteem. If you are out of shape, if you are uncomfortable in your own body and can do something about it, then do it! Elder Russell M. Nelson has taught that we should “regard our body as a temple of our very own” and that we should “control our diet and exercise for physical fitness.”

Elder Jörg Klebingat of The Seventy

Great and timely, for me.
