Daily Vitals: Weight: 226.8 (with cast), Book of Mormon Reading: 2 Nephi 16, GMI: 6.7, Steps (previous day) NA, Blood Pressure: 128/72, 78

Journal Entry 

We went everywhere yesterday. I had an appointment with my urologist and he recommended a minor surgical procedure that soul improve my life somewhat. Then we went to AF hospital and I had a blood draw for tomorrow's visit to my thyroid Doc.

Then went to the Wound Care unit and got my cast removed. Dr Welch and Dr Phillips looked at my injured toe and pronounced well on its way to healing. Then I got a new cast but was told by Dr Phillips that this would probably be my last cast. So that was very good news.

I took a picture of my Ballin toe after the cast was removed yesterday but it still looked sort of gruesome so I decided not to include it here. The wound is nevertheless apparently healing well.

The Prophet Joseph Smith said: “We came to this earth that we might have a body and present it pure before God in the celestial kingdom. The great principle of happiness consists in having a body. The devil has no body, and herein is his punishment. He is pleased when he can obtain the tabernacle of man…All beings who have bodies have power over those who have not."

Even the severe tests of health or a handicapped or disabled body can refine a soul for the glorious day of restoration and healing which surely will come.
