3-2023 August 20, Journal Entry
Serving at the Bishops' Storehouse yesterday went very smoothly even for a Saturday. I actually got to work with the forklift a little and that was an interesting change. I'm starting to feel more accepted and part of the group and that's nice. But that's usually the way it goes for me. When I start something new whether working at the temple or on our service mission it just takes time to become more a part of what's going on. I think I'm there now at the temple and at the Bishops' Storehouse.
We went to lunch at Corner Bakery then stopped in to visit Beth and Karen.
Come Follow Me
Romans 14:19 Let us therefore follow after the things which make for peace, and things wherewith one may edify another.
Mosiah 18:21 And he commanded them that there should be no contention one with another, but that they should look forward with one eye, having one faith and one baptism, having their hearts knit together in unity and in love one towards another.
I felt a prompting here that if there is someone we are close to who we feel needs to improve in some aspect of their life, and I do have at least one person in mind, the best thing we can do for them is to love them and show appreciation for the good things they do. That's two things: 1. Love them, and 2. Show appreciation for the good things they do.
