It's been snowing and it's very cold. I served in the temple yesterday. It was a lot less busy than usual, possibly because of the bad weather.
I had a temple card for one of Cathy's ancestors, Arthur Matte, who needed to be baptized and the rest of the temple ordinances. Cathy wanted me to look into how to get him baptized. So When I finished my temple shift yesterday I went to the babtistry to find out how to get him baptized. Bottom line, it wasn't very busy there either and they let me get baptized and confirmed for him. I'll include him in my Initiatories tomorrow and do his endowment probably next week.
Today is pickleball and that should be enjoyable and is good exercise.
Come Follow Me
1 Nephi 2:16 And it came to pass that I, Nephi, being exceedingly young, nevertheless being large in stature, and also having great desires to know of the mysteries of God, wherefore, I did cry unto the Lord; and behold he did visit me, and did soften my heart that I did believe all the words which had been spoken by my father; wherefore, I did not rebel against him like unto my brothers.
"In coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost.
"My beloved brothers and sisters, I plead with you to increase your spiritual capacity to receive revelation….Choose to do the spiritual work required to enjoy the gift of the Holy Ghost and hear the voice of the Spirit more frequently and more clearly."
"The constant availability of social media and a 24-hour news cycle bombard us with relentless messages. If we are to have any hope of sifting through the myriad of voices and the philosophies of men that attack truth, we must learn to receive revelation."
President Russell M. Nelson, "Revelation for the Church, Revelation for Our Lives" April 2018
