Cathy seems to still be suffering from her infection. She completed her prescription which was for five days only and might need further medical help. We'll see.
I'm planning on pickleball this morning.
I enjoyed serving in the temple yesterday morning. Attendance was up a little, it seemed, in endowments. We were pretty busy in the men's dressing area and name issue booths.
I would like to find out more information, if appropriate, about "New Names". Everyone who is endowed in the temple receives a new name which we should always remember and which we must keep sacred and never reveal except at a place that will be revealed later. Husbands, when sealed in the temple to their wives are advised of their wives new name and are expected to remember both theirs and their wives new names from then on. Important? Obviously! Hmm.
Come Follow Me
1 Nephi 13:37 And blessed are they who shall seek to bring forth my Zion at that day, for they shall have the gift and the power of the Holy Ghost; and if they endure unto the end they shall be lifted up at the last day, and shall be saved in the everlasting kingdom of the Lamb; and whoso shall publish peace, yea, tidings of great joy, how beautiful upon the mountains shall they be.
"Every time we strengthen our own testimony or help someone else strengthen theirs, we build the kingdom of God. Every time we mentor a newly baptized [member] or befriend a wandering soul without judging [them] or invite a nonmember family to home evening or give a Book of Mormon to a colleague or lead a family to the temple or stand up for modesty and motherhood or invite the missionaries into our homes or help someone discover the power of the word, we build the kingdom of God.
No woman is a more vibrant instrument in the hands of the Lord than a woman of God who is thrilled to be who she is."
Sister Sheri L. Dew, Second Counselor in the Relief Society General Presidenc, October2000
