Book of Mormon Review Reading: 2 Nephi 31

Journal Entry:

We enjoyed a quiet Sabbath Day together. The Priesthood/Relief Society lessons were well presented and were about Elder Soares general conference talk having to do with confidence in God's teachings and in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

 Mosiah 25:10 And again, when they thought of the immediate goodness of God, and his power in delivering Alma and his brethren out of the hands of the Lamanites and of bondage, they did raise their voices and give thanks to God.

"The immediate goodness of God comes to all who call upon Him with real intent and full purpose of heart. This includes those who cry out in earnest desperation, when deliverance seems so distant and suffering seems prolonged, even intensified."

 15 And now it came to pass that the burdens which were laid upon Alma and his brethren were made light; yea, the Lord did strengthen them that they could bear up their burdens with ease, and they did submit cheerfully and with patience to all the will of the Lord.

 16 And it came to pass that so great was their faith and their patience that the voice of the Lord came unto them again, saying: “Be of good comfort, for on the morrow I will deliver you out of bondage.”
