Journal Entry

I served in the temple yesterday as an Ordinance Worker on my new shift. Started with a full round of Initiatories then five veils. I was getting tired toward the end but when I got home I felt great.

I'm having problems with my phone and now the TV in our TV room is not working. This all started last week when we got our new printer and I tried to set it up on our home wifi and blue tooth systems. Everything is working with Cathy's phone and my iPad but my phone is having problems. Jake's coming over later today to help me try to sort things out.

Come Follow Me

Alma 57:26 And now, their preservation was astonishing to our whole army, yea, that they should be spared while there was a thousand of our brethren who were slain. And we do justly ascribe it to the miraculous power of God, because of their exceeding faith in that which they had been taught to believe—that there was a just God, and whosoever did not doubt, that they should be preserved by his marvelous power.

27 Now this was the faith of these of whom I have spoken; they are young, and their minds are firm, and they do put their trust in God continually.

"Here we find a standard for what should happen in our homes and in the Church. Our teaching should draw upon our own faith and focus first and foremost on instilling faith in God in the rising generation. We must declare the essential need to keep the commandments of God and to walk uprightly before Him in soberness, or in other words, with reverence. Each must be persuaded that service and sacrifice for the well-being and happiness of others are far superior to making one’s own comfort and possessions the highest priority."

.    Elder D. Todd Christofferson Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, October 2009
