We attended an endowment session at the Saratoga Springs temple yesterday at 1330. It's a beautiful temple and we got there early. I had heard that Initiatories were done differently there so since we were early I walked in to the male Initiatory Desk and asked some questions. They weren't busy and we're very nice. They offered to let me do some Initiatories so I was able to do two. The only thing different was that the chambers are much nicer and much roomier... more conducive to a better atmosphere. Hopefully the new Lindon Temple will be like that. It's a beautiful temple.
Then we met Jake and his four kids at the Nitro Ice Cream Shop in Provo and enjoyed some ice cream together. They have sugar-free ice cream there so I had some with them.
We also drove the Alpine Loop earlier in the day and saw that some of the trees are beginning to turn to fall colors. I guess winter is coming. The picture is Mt. Timpanogos from the east side. Beautiful country.
Come Follow Me
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
"[T]hrough His grace He can make weak things become strong. If we humble ourselves and have faith in Jesus Christ, then His grace will enable us to change. In other words, He will empower us to change. This is possible because, as He says, “my grace is sufficient for all men.” His strengthening, enabling grace gives us power to overcome all obstacles, all challenges, and all weaknesses as we seek to change.
Our greatest weaknesses can become our greatest strengths. We can be changed and “become new creatures.” Weak things literally can “become strong unto [us].”
The Savior worked out His infinite and eternal Atonement so that we could in fact change, repent, and become better. We can actually be born again. We can overcome habits, addictions, and even the “disposition to do evil.” As sons and daughters of a loving Father in Heaven, we have the power within us to change."
