2023 September 26, Journal Entry
A bit of a hectic day. I took out Prius into Brent Brown Toyota a week ago last Wednesday for 85,000 mile service. There was a broken plastic engine protective wrap that needed replacing and they didn't have that part. I also wanted new floor mats and they didn't have those so I was told the items would take a day or two to get and they would notify me. So a week went by and no notification and I tried to call the service tech last Wednesday and his phone wasn't working. I called the parts department and they said they had received no order for me and that there was no record of an order for me.
I drove in there on Thursday and the tech had all kinds of excuses and was very unorganized. He claimed that the parts had been ordered and they might be in the next day (Friday). I said how about I come in next Monday morning and we'll get it done. He said OK.
So I go in yesterday (3rd visit for this issue) and they had the floor mats but the other part was the wrong one so I'd have to come back. His phone still wasn't working. He wanted me to come back today but I don't have time today so he'll call me (maybe).
I planted the rest of the garden and that took most of the rest of the day. I still have to get the irrigation system back in place and I'm hoping to do that on Thursday.
Today is Tuesday so we'll be at the Bishops Storehouse this afternoon. They are getting ready for an extensive remodel during the upcoming General Conference weekend. New floors and shelves, etc. Might be nice.
Come Follow Me
Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
"Being converted to the gospel of Jesus Christ means to walk in a newness of life. To find that “more excellent way,” brothers and sisters, we must cast aside our old selves and our old habits and ways of thinking. We must first recognize how we should change, and then we must make those changes, thus putting on the new and beginning to live as we have never lived before—walking in a newness of life."
Elder Robert E. Sackley Of the First Quorum of the Sevent, October 1988
