2023 November 15, Wednesday, (Scottsdale) Journal Entry

We arose early and began our drive to Phoenix at about 5 a.m.

It actually went well. We arrived at our hotel less than 12 hours later after stopping for various reasons.

Our hotel was recommended by Kevin but I don't think he had all the pertinent details. The TV doesn't work very well. The refrigerator doesn't work very well but the beds are comfy.

We had dinner with Kevin and Kim and Blake at a very nice restaurant vaguely near their home in north Phoenix. It was so nice that it was very crowded and noisy but the food was very good. We are going to go with Kevin this morning and get breakfast with him. Hopefully we'll be able to communicate a little better.

Come Follow Me

James 1:22 But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.

"Being a disciple of Jesus Christ involves more than just hoping or believing. It calls for effort, movement, and commitment. It requires that we do something, being “doers of the word, and not hearers only.”...

Conversion won’t come while doing nothing. It comes through the power of the Holy Ghost as we intentionally make an effort to know by asking, seeking, and knocking. It comes by doing."

Sister Rebecca L. Craven, Second Counselor in the Young Women General Presidenc, April 2022
