2024 February 11, Sunday, Journal Entry
We served in the Bishops Storehouse and were pretty busy which is typical for a Saturday. After lunch we went to Costco in Spanish Fork. It's huge. The only other one that compares in size is the one in Salt Lake City near 13th South and 2nd West. Anyway, Costco was busy, Trader Joe was busy and Walmart was busy but we went to all three anyway then came home and relaxed. Today will go to church but that might be it. Things are quiet right now. The weather is very cold so outdoors activities are out of the question for us old California natives.
Come Follow Me
God gave us freedom of choice. We can only make progress in our lives by identifying and making choices. There are good choices and bad and we need to choose wisely.
2 Nephi 2:27 Wherefore, men are free according to the flesh; and all things are given them which are expedient unto man. And they are free to choose liberty and eternal life, through the great Mediator of all men, or to choose captivity and death, according to the captivity and power of the devil; for he seeketh that all men might be miserable like unto himself.
"Your eternal destiny will not be the result of chance but of choice. It is never too late to begin to choose eternal life!". Elder Randall K. Bennett Of the Seventy
"We are children of God with a majestic destiny. We can be changed to become like Him and have “a fulness of joy.” Satan, on the other hand, would have us be miserable like he is. We have the ability to choose whom we follow. When we follow Satan, we give him power. When we follow God, He gives us power." Elder Paul V. Johnson Of the Presidency of the Seventy
