Book of Mormon Review Reading: Mosiah 28
Mosiah 28:1 Now it came to pass that after the sons of Mosiah had done all these things, they took a small number with them and returned to their father, the king, and desired of him that he would grant unto them that they might, with these whom they had selected, go up to the land of Nephi that they might preach the things which they had heard, and that they might impart the word of God to their brethren, the Lamanites— They went through proper and approved channels for permission. Even their father, King Mosiah, inquired of the Lord and received guidance from Him.
Journal Entry
Yesterday was busy. We started at Dr. Kimball's office where my staples were removed from my surgical incision. Everything looked good. I'm still not supposed to soak in the bathtub - which I never do and I'm not to go into swimming pool or hot tub - which I would like to do but I have no problem with holding of on that for now.
They sent in approval for Xrays and a new MRI. Then we walked for awhile at Provo Town Center Mall.
Cathy worked diligently to get me scheduled for my new MRI and Xrays which I ended up getting at 3:30 p.m. at Utah Valley hospital. It may not seem like much but there was a lot of running around and phone calls to make it happen.
Today there is nothing on our schedule except the Bishops Storehouse. I'm going to try to convince Cathy that she should go to that.
My pain level was a little better this morning but I'm hard pressed to know why I can go to bed while mostly pain - free and then have so much pain by 2 a.m. that I can't stay asleep or in bed.
Come Follow Me
Alma 25:15 Yea, and they did keep the law of Moses; for it was expedient that they should keep the law of Moses as yet, for it was not all fulfilled. But notwithstanding the law of Moses, they did look forward to the coming of Christ, considering that the law of Moses was a type of his coming, and believing that they must keep those outward performances until the time that he should be revealed unto them.
16 Now they did not suppose that salvation came by the law of Moses; but the law of Moses did serve to strengthen their faith in Christ; and thus they did retain a hope through faith, unto eternal salvation, relying upon the spirit of prophecy, which spake of those things to come.
"The law of Moses…with symbolism pointing believers to “look forward to the coming” and Atonement of Jesus Christ, was meant to help the people of Israel focus on the Savior by practicing faith in Him, His sacrifice, and His laws and commandments in their lives—it was intended to bring them to a greater understanding of their Redeemer.
Just as we are today, God’s ancient people were invited to see their lives through Him in order to see more of Him in their lives."
