I'm still experiencing a lot of pain and I only have enough of my Tramadol pain pills to last through tomorrow. I'm hoping Dr. Kimball will authorize a refill.
Cathy needs to see her ear doctor because one of her ears is plugged. Hopefully that will happen this morning. Then she needs to go to the Bishops Storehouse this afternoon. I will do my basement workout. That's about it for today. The pain and surgical restrictions keeps me pretty well grounded. Getting old. But next Monday I see Dr Kimball again. Hopefully that will signal a change for the better in my recovery process.
Come Follow Me
This is a good topic for me at this time.
Alma 17:11 And the Lord said unto them also: Go forth among the Lamanites, thy brethren, and establish my word; yet ye shall be patient in long-suffering and afflictions, that ye may show forth good examples unto them in me, and I will make an instrument of thee in my hands unto the salvation of many souls.
"Above all else we can live the gospel. Surely there is no more powerful missionary message we can send to this world than the example of a loving and happy Latter-day Saint life. The manner and bearing, the smile and kindness of a faithful member of the Church brings a warmth and an outreach which no missionary tract or videotape can convey. People do not join the Church because of what they know. They join because of what they feel, what they see and want spiritually. Our spirit of testimony and happiness in that regard will come through to others if we let it."
Elder Jeffrey R. Holland Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, April 2001
