Book of Mormon Review Reading: Mosiah 29

16 Now I say unto you, that because all men are not just it is not expedient that ye should have a king or kings to rule over you. 17 For behold, how much iniquity doth one wicked king cause to be committed, yea, and what great destruction!

18 Yea, remember king Noah, his wickedness and his abominations, and also the wickedness and abominations of his people. Behold what great destruction did come upon them; and also because of their iniquities they were brought into bondage.

And so the reign of The Judges chosen by the people begins...

27 And if the time comes that the voice of the people doth choose iniquity, then is the time that the judgments of God will come upon you; yea, then is the time he will visit you with great destruction even as he has hitherto visited this land.

Journal Entry

I awoke this morning with almost no pain after sleeping over 6 hours. This could be a giant step toward recovery for me. In a telephonic conversation with Flor at Dr. Kimball's office I was reassured that the steroid I started just yesterday could have been a significant factor in my recovery and that Dr. Kimball has reviewed my MRI and found nothing significant or disturbing. So hopefully I'm on my way to getting well.... Finally!

Cathy is taking Erica and her cousin, Winnie,  to lunch at the Trellis Cafe at Thanksgiving Point. She is so good for those two young women and they are good for her. Hope they have a great time.

I'm enjoying being home since the outside temperature should exceed 100 degrees today.

We walked at the park early today and I will exercise more in the basement later.

Come Follow Me

Alma 26: 11 But Ammon said unto him: I do not boast in my own strength, nor in my own wisdom; but behold, my joy is full, yea, my heart is brim with joy, and I will rejoice in my God.

12 Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things; yea, behold, many mighty miracles we have wrought in this land, for which we will praise his name forever.

"We can make each item on our to-do list become a way to glorify Him. We can see each task as a privilege and opportunity to serve Him, even when we are in the midst of deadlines, duties, or dirty diapers.

As Ammon said, “Yea, I know that I am nothing; as to my strength I am weak; therefore I will not boast of myself, but I will boast of my God, for in his strength I can do all things.”

When serving our God becomes our main priority in life, we lose ourselves, and in due course, we find ourselves."
