2023 October 1, Journal Entry
We actually watched all three Saturday sessions of General Conference and are planning on watching both sessions later today. We also got a three mile walk in up in Provo Canyon.
Even with all of that, I tried to repair the leak in my newly remodeled irrigation system in the front garden. I succeeded in getting a coupling device so that I could cut out the leak - about one inch - and couple the two ends together. But after carefully completing that process, I could see that the coupling device was still leaking mildly by just dripping. This is getting expensive but I think ideally I will get a tool - probably some sort of heavy duty scissors that will cut the tube cleanly then cut out the coupling device and get a short replacement tube and two more coupling devices and try to fix the system without it dripping.
But even when I was testing it I could see that some nozzles were working and at least one was not so I think I need to make a project out of it tomorrow (Monday) in order to get it right.

Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
"Consistency is a key principle as we lay the foundation of a great work in our individual lives and as we become more diligent and concerned in our own homes."
Elder David A. Bednar
Fits with my journal entry (above).
