2024 January 31, Wednesday, Journal Entry
I got a group email from our temple shift coordinator, Mike Hansen, recommending that we review Elder Bednar's BYU Devotional Address, "His Work". I had already watched that talk because I have our TV automatically set to record the weekly BYU Devotionals that occur every Tuesday morning. I enjoyed it the first time I watched it and watched it again. The included photo is a screen shot of a quote from President Thomas S. Monson. It's a very nice encapsulation of Heavenly Fathers plan of happiness for us.
Going to the temple this morning for my regular shift as an Ordinance Worker.

1 Nephi 18:3 And I, Nephi, did go into the mount oft, and I did pray oft unto the Lord; wherefore the Lord showed unto me great things.
"One of the great lessons that each of us needs to learn is to ask. Why does the Lord want us to pray to Him and to ask? Because that is how revelation is received."
"How to Obtain Revelation and Inspiration for Your Personal Life"
By Elder Richard G. Scott Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, April 2012
1 Nephi 18: 23 And it came to pass that after we had sailed for the space of many days we did arrive at the promised land; and we went forth upon the land, and did pitch our tents; and we did call it the promised land.
24 And it came to pass that we did begin to till the earth, and we began to plant seeds; yea, we did put all our seeds into the earth, which we had brought from the land of Jerusalem. And it came to pass that they did grow exceedingly; wherefore, we were blessed in abundance. 25 And it came to pass that we did find upon the land of promise, as we journeyed in the wilderness, that there were beasts in the forests of every kind, both the cow and the ox, and the ass and the horse, and the goat and the wild goat, and all manner of wild animals, which were for the use of men.
