Book of Mormon Review Reading: Jacob 3
Journal Entry:
We found what I hope will be a good car repair place tp get our Prius it's 100,000 mile service. It's very close to our Provo doctors offices and it's called Honest One. They were recommended by a guy I trust. We made an appointment for next Friday. The Prius is the best car I've ever owned. As a hybrid, it gets over 50 mpg, it's comfortable for a big guy like me to drive and had never given us any problems. Hopefully we can get another 100,000 miles or more out of it.
We then drove the Alpine Loop from Provo Canyon to American Fork Canyon. Very pretty drive.
Earlier we got my spine xrays completed in preparation for my visit with Dr. Jon Kimball, my spine surgeon. I'm fearful that I might need additional spinal surgery but we'll see. I'm in constant pain depending on pain medication and my left leg seems noticeably weak. We have a recent MRI and now xrays so hopefully he'll be able to come up with a good suggestion. I'm 77 years old but in pretty good shape for an old guy (except my current spine problem).
Stay tuned.
Come Follow Me
Mosiah 27: 35 And they traveled throughout all the land of Zarahemla, and among all the people who were under the reign of king Mosiah, zealously striving to repair all the injuries which they had done to the church, confessing all their sins, and publishing all the things which they had seen, and explaining the prophecies and the scriptures to all who desired to hear them.
36 And thus they were instruments in the hands of God in bringing many to the knowledge of the truth, yea, to the knowledge of their Redeemer.
"In the Book of Mormon we learn that from the moment Alma the Younger was delivered from suffering the consequences of his own rebelliousness, he was never the same…His constant worship of the Almighty God took the form of energetic discipleship.
True worship transforms us into sincere and earnest disciples of our beloved Master and Savior, Jesus Christ. We change and become more like Him.
We become more understanding and caring. More forgiving. More loving…
True worship leads to an unwavering determination to walk the path of discipleship. And that leads inevitably to charity."
Bishop Dean M. Davies, First Counselor in the Presiding Bishopric
