071324, Saturday, Journal Entry
Vitals: weight 220.2; GMI 7.0%; Pain level 2
Journal Entry: It's now Saturday morning. I made an entry yesterday morning but somehow it got deleted. The weather has been very hot lately and I have been mostly confined indoors where our air conditioning has kept me very comfortable.
One of the innumerable things I love about Cathy is her love of gardens. As you can see from this photo her hard work has paid off with a lovely front garden at our home. The dirt stretch in front of the garden is as a result of hers and Kevin's efforts to eliminate a slightly low area that was causing drainage issues.
Anyway, my pain level has sort of morphed into discomfort rather than pain but it's still distracting. My legs got quite weak during the three weeks after surgery where I just could not move much. Getting up to go from room to room for whatever reason was so painful that I limited that kind of movement as much as possible. I'm no longer taking Tramadol which is an opioid pain relief medicine.
Instead I'm relying on an occasional Tylenol tablet.
My weight had been going down and it's now holding at about 220, which is good. But my glucose levels are way up resulting in an A1C equivalent of about 7.0%. It seems like just a little over a week ago I was at 6.5 which is excellent. So one of my main objectives now is to get that glucose reading lower. Stay tuned. I am blessed with above average medical insurance and that has provided me with a Libre 3 continuous glucose monitor which makes these glucose readings possible. Anyway... Stay tuned.

Book of Mormon Review Reading: Alma 2 and 3
Come Follow Me Verse of the Day: Alma 26:16 Therefore, let us glory, yea, we will glory in the Lord; yea, we will rejoice, for our joy is full; yea, we will praise our God forever. Behold, who can glory too much in the Lord? Yea, who can say too much of his great power, and of his mercy, and of his long-suffering towards the children of men? Behold, I say unto you, I cannot say the smallest part which I feel.
