Journal

I went to church yesterday while Cathy stayed home and rested. She is still trying to a handle on why she is so tired most of the time. I don't know much medically but apparently there is a problem with her Para-thyroid if I'm remembering correctly. She might get treatment for that and possibly gain some dramatic improvement with her tiredness. I hope so. She's a wonderful woman, wife, mother, grandmother, etc. And she wants to do good.

Today I need to schedule the car for 110,000 mile service, pick up our held mail at the post office and go visit Beth and pick up two packages there that we had delivered while we were in Arizona. Plus I've gone two straight days with under 3,000 walking steps. That's got to stop. But there's nothing on our calendar so should be a good day. The weather will be cool but nice so no excuses there.

The Sacrament and related covenants instituted

3 Nephi 20:8 And he said unto them: He that eateth this bread eateth of my body to his soul; and he that drinketh of this wine drinketh of my blood to his soul; and his soul shall never hunger nor thirst, but shall be filled.

"...[P]artaking of the sacrament [worthily] will help us be filled with the Holy Ghost. Upon instituting the sacrament during His visit to the Nephites, Jesus...promised that if they hungered and thirsted after righteousness, they would be filled with the Holy Ghost. The sacramental prayer also promises that if we live up to our covenants, we will always have His Spirit to be with us."

.    Elder Don R. Clarke Of the Seventy, October 2012

Gathering of Israel in the latter days foretold (Read the whole chapter).

3 Nephi 20:11 Ye remember that I spake unto you, and said that when the words of Isaiah should be fulfilled—behold they are written, ye have them before you, therefore search them—

12 And verily, verily, I say unto you, that when they shall be fulfilled then is the fulfilling of the covenant which the Father hath made unto his people, O house of Israel.

13 And then shall the remnants, which shall be scattered abroad upon the face of the earth, be gathered in from the east and from the west, and from the south and from the north; and they shall be brought to the knowledge of the Lord their God, who hath redeemed them.
