Book of Mormon Review Reading: The Book of Omni 

Journal Entry: 

We went to Costco in Orem and ordered four new tires for our Prius. We should be notified in a few days that these tires are available and we'll take the car in and get them installed. Then next Friday we'll get our new rear shock absorbers installed and the car should be in "like new" condition. So together we will have invested close to $2,000 but the car should last at least another 100,000 miles so money will spent.

We did a little more garden work... at least Cathy did.

We walked up in Provo Canyon and got my 7500 steps in. At first we drove to Vivian Park but there was no parking available. It was a beautiful day and lots of people were taking advantage of being up in the canyon. Then we drove back to Bridal Veil Falls and it, too, was jammed. So we decided to walk downstream instead and very few people were on that stretch. We'll try to do that again this morning.

Walking has gotten difficult for me. My left leg just feels weak and it seems to take more energy to walk. I'm finally going to see Dr. Kimball tomorrow morning and see if another spinal surgery might be helpful..

Alma stepped down from the judgment seat in order to bear “pure testimony” to the people.  

Alma 4:19 And this he did that he himself might go forth among his people, or among the people of Nephi, that he might preach the word of God unto them, to stir them up in remembrance of their duty, and that he might pull down, by the word of God, all the pride and craftiness and all the contentions which were among his people, seeing no way that he might reclaim them save it were in bearing down in pure testimony against them.
