Journal
We got distressing news last night about our grandson, Blake, Kevin's 16 year old son. He has developed a serious form of leukemia. Kevin and Kim have divorced. Kevin is staying with friends because Kim has apparently officially barred Kevin from going to their home. Kim is, avoiding to Kevin, traveling a lot and leaving Blake alone. Bottom line, it's hard to know exactly what's going on because we only hear Kevin's account and I have no reason to doubt him at all.
I think Blake is hospitalized and Kim is returning or has returned home to care for him. It's all a big mess and Cathy is, of course, upset.
We were going to the temple this morning but Cathy didn't sleep much last night so she's not going. I, like a big dummie slept like a lot so I'm going ahead and go.
I put Blake's name on the temple prayer roll last night along with Cathy's and Kevin's. I did it on line.
I started doing my physical therapy exercises yesterday and they seem like they will help me. I also took a long walk with Cathy up in Provo Canyon.
Today I hope to spray the weeds again and bring in the hoses for the winter (after I go to the temple session).
Come Follow Me
4 Nephi 1:15 And it came to pass that there was no contention in the land, because of the love of God which did dwell in the hearts of the people.
"Unity requires effort. It develops when we cultivate the love of God in our hearts and we focus on our eternal destiny. We are united by our common, primary identity as children of God and our commitment to the truths of the restored gospel. In turn, our love of God and our discipleship of Jesus Christ generate genuine concern for others. We value the kaleidoscope of others’ characteristics, perspectives, and talents. If we are unable to place our discipleship to Jesus Christ above personal interests and viewpoints, we should reexamine our priorities and change."
. Elder Dale G. Renlund Of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, October 2021
