Vitals: Weight 217.8, GMI 7.3, Pain 2
Journal Entry: Cathy has been having back problems now and we have set up a "TeleHealth" appointment for her with Dr. Kimball's office tomorrow morning. I can foresee a need for me to hurry and get healthy so I can start taking care of her if needed. We both hope that won't happen but we are truly blessed to have each other and other friends that might be needed.
I got approved to drive again since I'm no longer taking Tramadol and haven't been for nearly a week.
Cathy knows she needs to drive sometimes and may need to again so she still will drive but I can take a big share of the driving when and if needed. She is getting better and better and that's a good thing.
My weight is down to 217.8 this morning. Cathy is a little concerned about that but I checked a general weight chart that shows 6'7" men should ideally and generally weigh between about 198 an 242 so I'm right smack in the middle of that and feel good about my weight. I truly don't want to lose any more weight because my clothes won't fit me at all. The problem there is my blood glucose level is higher and my glucose management index (GMI) reading is at 7.3. I had it down to 6.5 less than two weeks ago so eating more, even healthy eating, seems to be adversely affecting my blood glucose level. I've been in touch with my personal care (and Diabetes) doctor, Dr. Welch 's office about that and they think it might be the large amounts of Tylenol I've been taking for my pain management. But further study is indicated.
Come Follow Me
Book of Mormon review (review of earlier Come Follow Me assignments): Alma 6
Alma 30:34 And now, if we do not receive anything for our labors in the church, what doth it profit us to labor in the church save it were to declare the truth, that we may have rejoicings in the joy of our brethren?
"[T]o serve in this Church is to stand in the river of God’s love for His children. This Church is a work party of people with picks and shovels trying to help clear the channel for the river of God’s love to reach His children at the end of the row…May we seek His loving face and then be vessels of His mercy to His children."
Elder Robert M. Daines Of the Seventy, October 2023
