Vitals: Weight 219.8, GMI 7.2; Pain 2
Journal Entry
I went to get my hair cut yesterday morning and as soon as I was finished, Dr. Welch phoned to say I could come in right then and he would see me. He set up a blood test for me this morning. I had contacted his office because my blood glucose levels had become higher lately. I might have to go on insulin depending on the results of this blood test but my GMI WENT down a point this morning from 7.3 to 7.2.
Then I had a visit from a nice sales staff guy showing a bone healing simulator that Dr.Kimball wants me to use until further notice for two hours a day. It's supposed to help heal my spinal fusion and so I'm happy to do it. In fact I already used it this morning.
This is my fourth week missing my assignment in the temple as an Ordinance Worker. I think I'm well enough to go back next week but I think I'll make it two weeks. I am due to be seen by Dr. Kimball a week from this Friday and I want his advice first. I truly miss my service in the temple but all things considered, two weeks from today makes sense.
Book of Mormon review (review of earlier Come Follow Me assignments): Alma 6 and 7
Come Follow Me
Alma 30:44 But Alma said unto him: Thou hast had signs enough; will ye tempt your God? Will ye say, Show unto me a sign, when ye have the testimony of all these thy brethren, and also all the holy prophets? The scriptures are laid before thee, yea, and all things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator.
"As we allow Him to direct us in all things, we receive testimony that “all things denote there is a God,” because where we look for Him we will find Him—each and every day."
Sister Tracy Y. Browning, Second Counselor in the Primary General Presidency, October 2022
